"Absolutely fantastic place, with great atmosphere, wonderful service and superb food. Kudos to the chef and the whole team for a great work and well deserved recognition. I would point out that we visited the last day before they closed for their summer break and even then the service and everything was truly perfect. We'll definitely come back!"

"Food was very experimental. I loved that they used ingredients from the local area or their own garden. It might be a bit difficult to get a proper explanation about the food if you don’t speak Castellano. I recommend people to go there for dinner. For lunch, it might be a bit long to eat all the foods that they provide, although they are delicious."

"Fantastic fine dining restaurant serving a tasting menu based on local products and natural wines pairing . Held one michelin start before the closure in 2021 due to a fire in the previous location. Distinction that for sure will recover shortly. Amazing New location with a open kitchen and a glass-covered terrace viewing a garden when they grow plants and herbs used for cooking"

"Montia, run by chef Dani Ochoa, offers a "naturalistic" take on haute cuisine and has had a Michelin star since 2014. They offer two tasting menus: a long one (€100) and an extra long one (€115). The latter adds two tripe dishes, which are delicious and supposedly the best in the Madrid area. Many of the ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced, so the specific dishes change regularly. In our case, there was a strong presence of mushrooms, even in the desserts. Some elaborations felt more refined than usual for a one-star restaurant, which may suggest they're going for the second star. My favorites were the deconstructed egg with a champignon demi-glaze and trout roe as well as the beetroot dessert with crunchy kale. The interior is beautiful and excudes a rustic charm, with clay walls and lots of wood, a chimney in the interior dining room and two massive trees on the glass-covered terrace, where we had the pleasure to spend the 3+ hours of our lunch. A great experience."

"I want to keep this place secret.. but it's too good. Food 10/10, pairings 10/10, service 10/10. It's a crime they don't have at least a 2. Second time here, can't wait for the third!"

"Montia...what a gem and unforgettable dining experience - dining here truly felt like a walk in the magical woods with a lovely surprise waiting at every turn. Every course was beautifully prepared and a feast for the senses. Wines were excellent too. Service was warm and attentive. Without a doubt the calibre of this restaurant way surpasses other 2-star restaurants I have been to. Wish I lived in Madrid so I could visit more often, this is definitely the highlight of my trip"
